Describe a check that each branch has on the other:

Legislative- Executive
Judicial- Legislative
Executive- Judicial

  2. The legislative branch checks the executive branch by overriding vetoes with 2/3 majority vote. They can impeach the president. The judicial branch checks the legislative branch by judicial review. That means that they can throw out laws if they are unconstitutional. The Executive branch checks the judicial branch by appointing judges.

  3. Legislative branch has one particular check over the Executive branch . When the President head of the Exectuive branch veotes a law , Congress head of the Legislative branch has the right to ovverride that veto , [:

In the United States of America we have checks & balance so that all branch in our goverment system are equal , & no branch has too much power over the others .

  4. Legislative may override president veto to Executive.

Judicial may interpret the laws to Legislative.

Executive may veto acts of Congress to Legislative.

We have checks and balances so no branch has more power over the others.

  6. The legislative can override the executives veto. The judicial branch can declare laws unconstitutional over the legislative. The executive can appoint federal judges over the judicial. We have the system of checks and balances so our government can check each others powers to see if they are doing what they are suppose to do.

  11. ~Legislative has to power to override vetoes from Executive.
~Judicial has the power to declare acts of congress (Legislative) unconstitutional.
~Executive has the power to appoint federal judges (Judicial)

We have the system of checks and balances so that no one branch is more powerful than the others. This is important because if we didn't have it then there wouldn't be a balance in any part of Government including the levels of govt. and laws.

    Legislative can ovverride presidential vetos.
The Judicial Branch can check to see if laws or acts pased by congress/legistalive branch are unconstitional. The Executive Branch approves the judges for the judicial branch.
We have to have a system of checks and balances because if one branch had too much power the others would get mad and use all the power they have to throw the other one off! It would become some-what like a war within our branches of government.Checks and Balances provents that very well!

The Legislative Branch checks the Executive Branch by over riding vetoes. The Judicial Branch checks the Legislative Branch by declaring laws unconstitutional. The Executive Branch checks Judicial Branch by appointing Supreme Court Justices! We have the system of checks and balances to make sure that no one branch of government becomes too powerful like it was in colonial times w/ England.

  18. We have checks and balances so that one branch don't become to powerful than any other branch in the U.S government . So the legislative branch can check the judicial and the judicial can check the executive and the executive can check the legisaltive and the legislative can check the executive . So they can make sure on branch isn't powerful then the other .

Legislative can override vetoes for executive.
Judicial has the power to declare laws unconstitutional on legislative.
Executive has the power to appoints federal judges on the judicial branch. '

We have the check and balances so that we can have our rights and that gives the branches to check and see if they are over doing the rights, also its a system that gives them limit the powers of the other branches.
That is why we have check and balances.

  23. We have a checks and balances so that the goverment doesn't gain to much power. This is very imporant because if we let the goverment gain to much power the people of the United States would have nooooo say at all !! which wouldn't be good :)

the three branches of government have system called checks and blance that makes it to where no one branch of government is more powerful than another.....for example the legislative branch can make a law but the president can veto it but then the legislative branch can override the veto, but if the judicail branch think that if the bill is unconstitutional it is thrown out...
