The electoral college is designed to emphasize that we are federal union composed of states, and that the states have a role in the election of the President and Vice President. I think we dont need them because even though we voted for that candidate the E.C might pick the other candidate. I think we could vote regularly as in we all vote they count whoever has the highest wins that simple.

The electoral college makes sure that the best candidate will become president. Some wanted congress to choose the president. We need the electoral college to decide who becomes president. I don't think we still need them because we can decide who is president with our vote we don't need their help we can decide who's president and who's not.

ReplyDeleteAn electoral college are people based on the electoral votes of a state vote for the president. I think we need the electoral college because even though citizens are getting smarter each decade some of us aren't smart enough to choose are president. The people back in the early 1900's werent as smart as the people today. So we really needed it back then more than we need it now.

ReplyDeleteYou that when you go to vote it doesn't go to the president's points it coes to the groups.The 12th amendment states that candidates are only nominated to run for only one type of election.Therefore you(electors)can only vote for president and vice president SEPARATELY!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe Electoral College votes on a candidate based on the majority of who the voters pick. I think we need them for the people that can't make their mind up. Yes, I think we still need them for a various reasons. We can stiil let the Electoral College's to pick the candidate.

ReplyDeleteThe Electoral College is a system of presidential electors. We need them too represent us by voting for us. I think that we no longer need this system. I feelthat we shold vote for the presient him self! it would make more sence and would let every one's vote count! t feels like their tryin to trick us behind our backs and some people might not vote for this reason! Also elector could vote for who they want not their state which wastes everone' vote! I feel that this system is pointless and does more bad than good and is un-needed!

ReplyDeletei dont think we need the electorial college any more. almost everyone goes to college any more and if you are not sure who to vote for than you shouldnt vote at all.

ReplyDeleteyes we do need them because some people vote for the wrong candidate or they dont know who they want to vote for. We do need them but at the same time we dont. We need them to make the right decision but we also are not stupid and can make a good decision also. we are able to detect wether or not we like a candidates ideas or not.
The electoral college votes for the prsident and vice president. We need them to decide who will be president&&vice president. If we didnt have them, we could just vote for ourself.

We need them because they once believed that americans weren't smart enough to know who to vote for when there weren't any colleges here. No, I don't think that we still need it because, most americans today have a good enough education to know who to choose to run our country. Instead, we should just let the people of the United States vote and see what the outcome is and thats who should be president.

ReplyDeleteWe vote for a group of electors and they vote for our candidates. We need them because they help us vote for candidates. I think we do need them because they make voting easier for us.
Okay, so yes I think we still need them. The electoral college is something that has been a part of our "selecting" methods for a real long time. It first came about because the citizens of America were all well educated. It makes sense to have it. I think we should keep it because we still have people who aren't well educated and it's not like we don't have a say in who becomes elected to run. It's just that it's limited until a certain point in time. We end up choosing who gets to be President and VP. So, I think we should keep it apart of our system. -Leah

ReplyDeleteThe electoral college votes for the Big P and Vice P. We need them because they are more educated in politics than most of the people that vote. Yes,I think we do still need them because until we become more educated in politics we will need the electoral college.
The electoral college elects President and Vice President. We need the Electoral college so that people can't elect the President directly. I do thik we still need them. The reason I think we still need them is because we still should not be able to elect the President directly. That just does not seem right.

ReplyDeletestates elect electors by adding the represenatives with the senators. the electoral college votes for the president and the vice president. i think that we do still do need electors. if we did not have them i guess it really would'nt matter who wins and it does matter cause people have different view points and the main issues are extremely important these days, especially with the bad economy, some people do not know how to do some of the things voters should do they just go vote for the person they think they like without looking at their platforms and seperating fact from opinion.

ReplyDeleteyes because i think people don't look much at a person for what they are going to do for the country. We often look at how someone looks or how much they have. I think that may be to big of responibilty for many of us. We need some one to help us out in the right choices i think.

ReplyDeleteThe Electoral Collage elects the President and Vice President. We need them because if we didn't have the Electoral Collage the elections would be based on popular vote. I don't think we need the Electoral Collage. I think we can just base elections on popular vote.
The electoral college is very important . the electoral college decides which president or vice president in running is elected. say that two candidates come to a tie of votes. the electoral college would decides which would won the election thats why there important and we need them.

No I do think we need to have Electoral College. On election day, when you vote for a certain candidate, you are really voting for that candidate's team of electors. A few weeks after the election, the offical electoral voting takes place in each state.
ReplyDeleteSome people can't because they are uncapable. We don't vote for the president on election day. The delegates finally agreed on a compromise. Political parties want winner-take-all elections for electors.

We need the electoral college because they make decision that are really hard and that some people couldn't make. Yes i think we still need the electoral college because we have had them so long and its been working out good for us so why give it up now..=]
The electoral college votes for two candidates first. They chose a system where the person with highest vote became president and the person with the lowest vote or came second would be vice presdient. As the years went by they changed where the two left people standing in the race for president got to pick who they wanted for vice president. I think its good to still have electoral college, They make right choices and they know polotics really well. WE have been doing this for a long time, so I think we should stick with the regular routine. :) ASHLEY Q

They They vote for who they think is best but they also listen to our point of veiws! Honestly I don't think many normal Americans have time to sit down and carefully plan out who we think is best! So I'd gladly give them that job and hope for the best!

I do not think we currently need them because we are becoming more educated everyday and know how to make decisions on our own unlike the earlier americans. why not just cut out the middle man? Instead we can just vote for the actual president and VP themselves! Thats just my oppinion!
