This week we will begin discussing political parties and the voting process. Read the following web article that discusses the Democrats and the Republicans as well as third parties. After reading, discuss some of the differences between Democrats and Republicans and then choose one of the third parties and tell me something about their views and ideas. I think that the diffrence between the republican and the democratic party is that the democrats regained the US house and the US senate in 2006 and the US white house in 2008 with the election of President Barack Obama . The republicans lost control in 2008 .Boston Tea Party founders believed that the Libertarian Party was straying from its roots . The Btp is increasing in size though .:)

The political parties are really important to us. Just like the Fundamental Political Principles. We should never fight over them. There is no use to fight for it. The people of both Democrats and Republicans need to stop. Before it gets to far out of hand

I like it how it talks about the history and how it started. then it talks about people voting and so on and so on. it tells more information than the other public parties.

The democratic regained control of the U.S. house and the U.S. Senate in 2006 elections. Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean tried a new 50 state strategy they approached to rebuild the party, in the 2005 DNC chair. The public lost control of the big job in 2008.

ReplyDeletei chose to talk about the Green Party. The Green Party is a political party that is very environmental. It is one of the largest third party movements in the united states. Ralph Nader was the parties first presidential nominee in 1996.
One of the third parties called "The Green Party of the United States of America". Which provides good environmental situations. Two major parties are Democratic and Republican. The Democrats regained control in our 2008 election with Obama and control of the U.S house and Senate. Republicans lost elections by Obama in 2008 when George W. Bush served his eight years in office or two terms.

They also won the 2008 presidential election when Obama won. The Republicans lost the 2008 election to Obama in 2008 because George W. Bush served his 2 terms.
So, the Democratic Party regained control in 2006 of the US House and US Senate and in the 2008 elections, they gained control of the White House. Democrats also control many key governorships. The Republican on the other hand do not have as much control. They lost the "big job", the presidency, in 2008. But, they do hold control of several key governorships such as Texas, Florida, and a few others.

The US Marijuana Party- in my opinion, totally stupid. Why can't they just understand that it is considered a drug? And, it's illegal as of right now. The US Marijuana Party is trying to legalize the use of Marijuana state-by-state. I hope that this party does not succeed. It was founded in 2002. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I would like to be with the Democratic party because i see that the low class people need help more than the high class. The difference between the democratic and repulican they help different people.You tell me why do high class need more help than middle class? They don't so why choose repulican there is no use.

I chose to talk about the green party. We the people who make the Earth what it is, need to stop litering and polluting the air and water. We need to keep our environment green for our sake and animals and plants ect. Electricity is being used to much these days and we should lower the usage of that. Water is another source thats being wasted. Water and other sources do not just belong to us. The green party is a very large third party.

I think that the Workers world party would be a good third party to discuss. This third party expresses the problems on providing more money for the jobs of us citizens. I like the way that they are concerned about the us citizens.

That was not good for the Republicans and they lost alot of power. Also the Democrates hold more key governorships than the Republicans. I choose the Green party because i think it's important to care for the environment throught the government. I like their veiws about the environment and what we can do to help it. they have great ideas to make more people join their party.
Some of the Democrats staes are: PA, NY, IL, VA, OH, NJ, NC, MO, CO, and WA. Some of the Republican states are: TX, CA, GA, MN, and FL. The third party I choose to talk about is the "Green Party", the Green Party wants the environment to be safe and non-pollutant. It is one of the two largest third parties. The Green Party also says they will continue to run in the next coming elactions.
